This blog was the brain child of a Medical Coordinator who works with Medical Volunteers of Projects Abroad. This serves as a way of updating past and present volunteers in their Medical Placement here in the Philippines.
The Organization
Projects Abroad is a leading volunteer abroad organization founded in 1992 and believes in helping where help is needed. Projects Abroad Philippines is the newest unit of Projects Abroad. It was introduced last June 2013 in Talisay City, Cebu. After typhoon Yolanda, it focuses Disaster Relief and Care Projects, thus transferred the office in Bogo City, Cebu, a small city that was badly hit by the typhoon.. The Placement
Cebu Provincial Hospital- Bogo City (formerly know as Severo Verallo Memorial District Hospital) is a 50 bed capacity institution taking care to acute illness for Dental Care, Medical Male and Female, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology. With basic laboratory services like routine blood works and chemistry, basic imaging like x-ray.
