Playing with Kids at the Pediatric Ward

After the days work, there is nothing more refreshing than seeing someone smile. How much more if you are the one responsible for it. This is Deirdre (Netherlands) and Freya (Denmark) played with the kids at the pediatric ward.

  1. Oh how sweet! I can imagine that the children had as much fun as those medical personnel. They are totally lit up!

  4. Oh, I also worked for one of the biggest government hospital and it's really heart breaking. I hope our government will do something about our health care delivery system.

  7. Great great move! More than the medicines, these kids really need some fun and joy to at least ease the pain they are experiencing.

  9. I have just thought about volunteer work last weekend. I like the feeling of sharing my time with those people who need it most. Kids in the pediatric wand would feel happy when they know and feel that they are loved.

  13. It is good to spend time with these kids cause they must have been scared to stay in the ward and really need support and affection during that time!

  16. If I was a nurse too, I would love to work around the children and/or the elderly just to make everything lighter. Smile from patients really make a tiring day a lighter one too.
