All in a days work, at some point we just want to play with the kids or cuddle babies. It makes you feel relaxed seeing innocence and life in front of you.

Health Promotion Campaign with Terry
Terry-Anne Jennet a General Practitioner from the UK and Rei a volunteer from Japan went to the school in Nailon to have a health promotion campaign. Being with her was so much fun. I was able to listen to her deliver a very brilliant lecture to the students. I was in awe with how much compassion she has to what she was doing. I hope to see her again in the future.

First Aid and CPR Outreach 2
This is Jakob (Denmark) and William (UK) teaching kids how to do CPR
It was Friday and it was Jakob's last day in his placement. We went to Bung-aw Elementary School to teach the children how to properly do CPR. Despite the language, I personally think that these children were able to understand because they could give you feedback on what was going on when they were asked.

Caroling in the Hospital on Christmas Day
It was Christmas Day, Duncan (England) and his host family went to the hospital to infect every patient with the Spirit of Christmas. It was the first time something like this was done in the hospital. It is something brand new to me and I want to keep this a yearly tradition.

Christmas in the Hospital
Jan (Denmark) photo from Projects Abroad Philippines
Two weeks before Christmas, We (me and Projects Abroad Volunteers) organized a meet and greet with Santa Claus. Laure (Netherlands) Jakob (Denmark) Freya (Denmark) and William were more than happy to tag along with Jan (Denmark) as the Santa Claus.
Here are some of the Photos behind the scene!
Playing with Kids at the Pediatric Ward
After the days work, there is nothing more refreshing than seeing someone smile. How much more if you are the one responsible for it. This is Deirdre (Netherlands) and Freya (Denmark) played with the kids at the pediatric ward.
Don't Try This at Home
It's one of those days, where in we are finished with our hospital responsibilities and just waiting for the time to go home. William (England) decided to teach Jenna (USA) how to properly collect blood sample with Jakob (Denmark) as the patient. It was a painful experience for Jakob but Jenna managed to collect blood from Jakob. William is such a good teacher.
Teaching First Aid and CPR
Last December 2014, we went to my High School and Taught the 4th year students how to properly do Cardio Pulmonary Rescucitation and other first aid treatments. Jan (Denmark) and William (England) did their best to help the students learn and ultimately minimize death for not doing CPR.
Outreach: Teaching Students About the Importance of Diet, Exercise and Handwashing to our Daily Life
This is Jasmine Bergmann from Germany. She taught the students of Dakit Elementary School the importance of proper diet exercise and hygiene to our health and daily life. She was really patient with the students. She always had that smile on her face even though the students were really noisy.
I have learned that a major part of the Filipino diet should never take a big portion of our daily food intake. One example is our appetizers, (ginamos, hipon og buwad). Canned goods, instant noodles and sodas should also be limited.
She had this talk to several classrooms in that school. This is one act of kindness that I will always remember.
